Describe the interruption
Sinks, showers, laundry and floor drains
The fixture and the timing help frame the request. Note whether water collects during use, drains away slowly afterward or returns from the line. For laundry or floor-drain trouble, describe the activity taking place when you noticed water rather than assuming the nearest appliance caused it.
Include other affected areas, even if they can still be used. At a business, identify the person who can explain the problem and provide access to the plumbing. Tell the office if an overflowing fixture is actively spreading water, and stop using that fixture while arranging help.
