Cleaner Water. Clearer Confidence.

Water filtration services in Peoria, AZ

A taste concern at the kitchen tap and mineral buildup around a shower do not necessarily need the same equipment. Before choosing a system, it helps to describe where you notice the issue, what you want to improve and any treatment equipment already in the home.

Trident Plumbing & Drain provides water filtration and treatment services through our Peoria team. We can evaluate the home's needs and discuss carbon filtration, reverse osmosis and softener options. The recommendation should follow the water concern and the system's documented capabilities, with clear expectations for installation and upkeep.

Start with the evidence

Identify the concern before the equipment

Tell us about taste, odor, visible sediment or recurring residue, and whether the issue is at one tap or throughout the house. Those observations are useful for planning, but appearance or taste alone cannot establish everything present in the water.

Relevant water-quality information helps narrow the choices. Share any recent test results or information from your water supplier, along with the details of an existing filter. If a particular substance is the concern, the selected system needs documented performance for that substance rather than a broad promise of cleaner water.

Choose the coverage

Whole-home or drinking-water treatment

Whole-home equipment treats water near the point where it enters the house. A point-of-use system supplies treated water to a selected fixture, commonly the kitchen drinking-water tap. The useful choice depends on where the improvement is needed.

Reverse osmosis is one option for point-of-use drinking water. It uses a membrane and produces treated water along with a reject-water stream. The model's capacity, installation requirements and maintenance should be considered with the treatment goal, rather than assuming every home needs the same arrangement.

Different treatment jobs

Carbon filtration, softening and RO

Carbon filtration can address certain taste and odor concerns. A water softener reduces the minerals responsible for hardness and related scale. Reverse osmosis offers a different treatment process at a drinking-water fixture. Each option has its own purpose and model-specific performance.

Some homes may need more than one type of treatment to address separate concerns. Trident can explain the options and how they fit the existing plumbing. Ask what a proposed system is designed to reduce and which product specifications or certifications support that claim.

Plan beyond installation

The system and its ongoing care

The installation plan should account for the equipment location, connections, household demand and access for future service. Upkeep varies by system. Filter changes and other maintenance should follow the selected model's instructions and the water conditions it is treating.

Tell the team if you already have equipment or a recurring plumbing problem. A treatment upgrade does not replace inspection of a leaking fixture or damaged pipe. Those concerns can be discussed separately so the new system has a clear purpose and the existing plumbing receives the attention it needs.

Read the report first

Use the City's report to pick the right treatment

Each year the City of Peoria publishes a water quality report. The 2025 edition lists averages of 70 mg/L of sodium and 135 mg/L of sulfate, along with calcium and magnesium, the minerals behind hard water. It also reports arsenic averaging 4.1 micrograms per liter against a federal limit of 10. These are averages across the system; your neighborhood's water depends on which plant and wells supply it.

Match the treatment to the concern. Carbon filtration targets taste and odor, a softener reduces the calcium and magnesium that cause scale, and reverse osmosis treats drinking water at one tap. Ask which contaminants a system is certified to reduce before you buy, and we can explain how each option fits your home and the supply that reaches it.

Filtration costs

What shapes the cost of a filtration system

Filtration costs depend on how much of the house you treat and what the system has to remove.

Our reverse osmosis plan covers annual filter changes for five years, and Trident currently offers 20% off a new water softener or filtration system.

  • Whole-home treatment or a single drinking water tap.
  • Carbon filtration, reverse osmosis or a combined system with a softener.
  • Installation location, drain access and any plumbing changes.
  • The filter change schedule and replacement cartridges.

What is in Peoria water

From the City's 2025 water quality report

These averages come from the City's own 2025 report. The minerals they describe affect taste, scale and the filter you might choose.

Average sodium in City water, 2025
70 mg/L

Sodium ranged from 36 to 160 mg/L across the City's samples. Minerals like this affect taste, which filtration and reverse osmosis can address.

Average sulfate in City water, 2025
135 mg/L

Sulfate averaged 135 mg/L and ranged from 34 to 236. It is another mineral that shapes how the water tastes.

Hardness is a separate question: filtration and softening do different jobs, and many Peoria homes use both.

water filtration in Peoria.

Questions about water filtration in Peoria? Start here, or tell us what is happening at your home.

Ask our team
How do I choose between whole-home filtration and reverse osmosis?

Start with where treatment is needed. Whole-home equipment serves water entering the house, while a point-of-use RO system commonly serves a drinking-water fixture. Trident can discuss the concern, installation and the capabilities of the proposed model.

Will a water filter also solve hard-water buildup?

It depends on the equipment. A softener addresses hardness minerals; carbon and RO systems have different purposes and performance limits. Describe scale concerns separately from taste or drinking-water goals so the appropriate treatment can be considered.

Can every filtration system remove the same substances?

No. Performance varies by system and model. Match the particular concern to the product's documented reduction claims and relevant certifications. A general description such as whole-home filtration does not establish what a specific product can remove.

Does a filtration system need ongoing maintenance?

Yes. Filter replacement and other service depend on the selected equipment and its instructions. Discuss upkeep and access when choosing a system, and share the model information if you already have treatment equipment in the home.

Is Peoria tap water safe to drink?

The City publishes an annual water quality report with its testing results against federal limits, and posts public notices when a result needs one. Read the latest report for the details, then ask us which treatment addresses a specific concern.

Why does my Peoria tap water taste different in summer?

The City says more of the supply comes from groundwater wells in summer, when demand peaks, so the blend reaching your tap changes. Minerals such as sodium and sulfate vary across the City's samples, which can affect taste.
