Fixture Installation & Repair

Plumbing fixture installation and repair in Glendale, AZ

Trident Plumbing & Drain installs and repairs the fixtures that deliver and drain water, from toilets and faucets to showers and tubs. We can help you choose fixtures that suit the space and the existing plumbing, then install them so they work properly and do not leak.

Contact our Peoria office with the fixture you are replacing or adding and the room it serves. If an existing fixture is leaking or running, describe what you see; a repair may be enough when the fixture is otherwise in good condition.

What we work on

Types of plumbing fixtures

Plumbing fixtures are the devices connected to the system to deliver and drain water. Trident installs toilets, sinks, faucets, showers, bathtubs, bidets and laundry sinks, along with the plumbing connections for garbage disposals, dishwashers and washing machines.

Each fixture has its own supply and drain requirements. A wall-mounted faucet, a freestanding tub or a bidet may need connections the old fixture did not have, so describe the change you have in mind when arranging the work.

Before you buy

Choosing a fixture that fits

Size comes first. A replacement needs to fit the space and work with the existing supply lines, drain and mounting points. Style and finish shape how the fixture looks in the room, but they come after confirming that it will connect properly.

If you have already chosen a fixture, keep the box and installation instructions for the visit. If you are still deciding, the plumber can point out details that affect installation, such as the drain position or the number of faucet holes in a sink or counter.

Why installation matters

What a poor installation can lead to

Installing a fixture is more than connecting it to a pipe. A loose supply connection, a poorly sealed drain or a toilet that is not seated correctly can leak slowly behind walls or under floors, where it may go unnoticed for some time.

That hidden moisture can damage cabinets, subflooring and drywall and encourage mold or mildew. A professional installation checks the connections, seals and operation of the fixture before the job is finished, so a slow leak is less likely to start unseen.

Repair or replace

When a repair makes more sense

A dripping faucet, a running toilet or a shower with weak flow may need a worn part replaced rather than a new fixture. If the fixture is otherwise in good condition and suits the room, repair is worth considering first.

Replacement enters the conversation when parts are no longer available, the fixture is cracked or corroded, or you want to change its style or function. For kitchen and bathroom remodels, fixture work can be planned together with the connected plumbing.

Scale and slow leaks

Hard water and hidden waste at your fixtures

The City's 2025 water quality report averages 13.8 grains of hardness per gallon and names faucets and showerheads among the places hard water leaves scale. On a fixture, minerals collect where water sits and dries: aerators clog, spray patterns turn ragged and cartridges grind or seep. Cleaning brings back some flow, but a worn cartridge, valve or seal usually has to be replaced, and a softener reduces the scale on everything downstream.

Small leaks matter too. The City counts more than 3,000 gallons a year from a faucet dripping once a second and more than 500 from a showerhead leaking ten drips a minute. For toilets, it suggests a few drops of food coloring in the tank; color in the bowl after 15 minutes means the flapper needs replacing. Glendale water customers can also request a free conservation kit, limited to one per household while supplies last.

Before the quote

What decides the cost of fixture work

Fixture work is priced by the fixture, the connections behind it and any change to the layout. Each of these can shift the total.

If you plan to claim a City rebate, keep the itemized receipt and photos of the old and new fixture. The rebate covers the WaterSense toilet or ENERGY STAR clothes washer itself, not installation, parts or tax, and the City allows one rebate application per fiscal year.

  • Repairing a cartridge, valve or flapper compared with replacing the fixture.
  • The fixture itself, whether you supply it or choose it with us.
  • Shutoff valves and supply lines that need replacing.
  • Changes to the wall, counter or floor to fit a new fixture.
  • Removing the old toilet, which the rebate requires.

Yearly waste from a faucet dripping once a second
3,000 gal

By the City's count, a faucet dripping once a second can waste more than 3,000 gallons a year, and the drip wears on the fixture too.

Monthly waste a faulty toilet flapper can cause
600 gal

A faulty toilet flapper can waste up to 600 gallons a month. The City's test: a few drops of food coloring in the tank, then 15 minutes without flushing.

Single-family homes on City water can apply for a rebate on a WaterSense toilet, whose effective flush can't exceed 1.28 gallons. The old toilet must use 1.6 gallons or more.

fixture installation and repair in Glendale.

Questions about fixture installation and repair in Glendale? Start here, or tell us what is happening at your home.

Ask our team
What details should I have ready for a fixture installation?

Have the fixture's model, size and installation instructions available if you have already chosen it. Mention the room, the fixture being removed and any leak or drainage concern around it.

Do you install bidets and laundry sinks?

Yes. Along with toilets, sinks, faucets, showers and tubs, Trident installs bidets and laundry sinks and connects garbage disposals, dishwashers and washing machines.

Is a dripping faucet worth repairing?

In many cases a worn washer, cartridge or seal is the cause. The technician checks the faucet and explains whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense.

Why not install a fixture myself?

A fixture that is not connected and sealed correctly can leak where you cannot see it. Professional installation confirms that the fixture fits the plumbing and works without leaks before the job is finished.

Does the City offer a rebate on efficient toilets?

Yes. Single-family homes on City of Glendale water that are in good standing can apply for a WaterSense toilet rebate. The old toilet must use 1.6 gallons per flush or more and be removed, and the rebate covers the toilet, not installation. The City's rebate page has the current terms.

Is there a rebate for a water-saving washing machine?

Yes, for single-family City water customers replacing a top-load washer with an ENERGY STAR model that has an Integrated Water Factor of 3.2 or lower. We can connect the new machine; check the City's terms before you buy.
